Review by RussianBlue for Pepe’s Sandwich Shop

Until a few years ago the last time I was in Pepe's was in 1974. I joined the Navy, moved away then one day I decided to visit the old stomping grounds. I always bragged to my now 25 year old daughter about the good food in South Jersey and I'd tell her about a little mom and pop place called Pepe's. Well, we drove by Pepe’s and everything looked pretty much the same as I remembered so we went inside. Inside it was the same as well which is small and very friendly. The lady at the counter looked up at me and asked me to take my sunglasses off. I did and she said "You used to work next door at Richard Able years ago.". She was right! I worked there in the early 70's. She remembered me and I remembered the food. It was still what I consider some of the best food in South Jersey. Their cheesesteak hoagies can’t be beat! This is a great place to eat and to me it's something that you shouldn't miss. I'm ready to make another trip up North again for some more of their food.
